California Restricted Materials Requirements (English)

Information from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation regarding which pesticides are considered "Restricted", which ones require a permit, and what products are exempt.  Also information regarding  certification relative to permits.

Fieldworker Safety Packet

An information packet for Farm Labor Contractors and growers who have employees who perform cultural activities in a field (orchard, grove, vineyard, etc.).  The A-9, Pesticide Safety Rules for Farmworkers (English) &/or A-9 Reglas de Seguridad de Pesticidas Para los Trabajdores de Agricola (Spanish), and Fieldworker Safety Training Record should also be downloaded by anyone who has fieldworkers. (note that the information on the A-9's has not been updated as of 1/1/17 to comply with the new regulations)

Organophosphates and Carbamates

Definition and partial list of Carbamate and Organophosphate Pesticides.  Mandatory blood tests are required for persons handling Category I and II (Danger / Warning) organophosphates or carbamates for more than six (6) days within any thirty (30) day period.  Additional information regarding the laws and regulations and required blood work when using organophosphates and carbamates may be found in the  Pesticide Worker Safety Packet (PDF)

Pesticide Workers Safety General Information Packet

An information packet for employers with employees that handle pesticides.  Includes information on Respiratory Training requirements and forms for the Employer's Written Training Program, Medical Supervision Written Agreement, and the Employee Pesticide Safety Training Record (English and Spanish).  The A-8, Safety Rules for Pesticide Handlers on Farms (English) and the A-8, Reglas de Seguridad para el Manejo de Pesticidas (Spanish) should also be downloaded by anyone who has pesticides workers.  Please note that the A-8 has not been updated as of January 1, 207 to reflect changes in Worker Protection Standards regulations.
